OK I have played for an hour today and so far I like it. It is a GTA type of play where you have missions to do from a guy who helped you at the beginning. Start with some errands, you can drive cars pick-up dropped weapons etc. I'm playing hardcore mode (one difficulty away from maximum, there are 4 lvls) Everything is moveable, shootable etc... but some items are not as graphically "smooth" as others but that is understandable with the expansive map. Movement is pretty good. Controls are very similar to other shooter controls. I only have played it an hour so it's a little slow going right now but I'm suppose to meet somebody at a bar and buy some medicine for your malaria.

OK after playing FC2 on hardcore mode, It's a little irritating that after I clear a guard checkpoint, make it to a safehouse and save, then drive by the guard checkpoint again it is restocked with soldiers. Annoying! And when they go after you in their vehicles and just plain want to ram you. Annoying! Makes game tougher but it is still annoying.

OK with only 8% done All I can say is MONOTONOUS.
